Is my contribution tax deductible?
Yes, financial contributions to our foundation are tax deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.
Who governs the foundation?
The foundation is separately incorporated through the State of Wisconsin and governed by a volunteer board of directors operating independently of any board of education.
How are foundation scholarships awarded?
The award decisions are made by the Port Washington High School Scholarship Selection Committee which is comprised of twelve people, including representatives of the communities of Port Washington and Saukville. The committee chairperson is appointed by the Port Washington High School principal.
Who can donate to the scholarship trust?
Donations are encouraged from anyone who values higher education and wishes to assist Port Washington High School graduates in achieving their educational goals. These include, but are not limited to alumni, parents, grandparents, class reunion groups, businesses, and local residents. All donations are used to support the graduates of Port Washington High School.
